De Eemhof
Center Parcs De Eemhof Review

This review of De Eeemhof is a couple of years old but is still pretty valid. A large and modern park but with the anomaly of lacking a dome. Instead the shops, restaurants and pool focus around more of an Italian courtyard style setting. Why no dome? In 2002 the dome burned down which explains what you now see! The original structures and buildings soft of still exist but what might once have been the center of dome is now open air.
You're still going to find all the restaurants you're used to at De Eemhof like the Grand Cafe and Bistro but instead they're around this court yard. This gives it a competely different vibe to other parks. You sort of miss the central focussed but on a hot summers day the court yard would be lovely.

The Aquamundo certainly still exists with the usual rapids and flumes to the standard you’d expect.
The park is just over an hour away from De Kempervennen so if you fancied a change in park it’s a modest drive. Previously I've broken the holiday in two and spent the first part at de eemhof having arrived in the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry, and then travelled on to other parks.
De Eemhof is also very near Amsterdam which could be helpful for flights into Schipol or even a day trip to to the Capital.
Although it's not the nearest park, De Eemhof is just over an hour away by car from that awesome theme park Efteling. If you don't fancy going all out to Disney Paris, Efteling is a solid second choice for theme parks.
Signature Feature
The park has a really impressive Action Factory with a fairly impressive soft play. If young ones can be trusted to climb on their own it’s a great place to have a beer!

De eemhof also backs onto a river where you can enjoy various water sports - sailing, kayak etc. In typical Center Parcs style, the watersports club isn't owned or run by them but a very close affiliate. It's decemt though with the ability to hire kayaks, wake surf lessons, sailining boats etcs.
Another singnatature feature here is the Wave Rider where you can learn to body board. Sadly they won’t let you stand surf, so you’ll have to find other ways to break your bones.
Aqua Mundo

It's been a couple of years since I've visited de Eemhof so I'm struggling to recall what the Aqua Mundo is like. I do remember a lazy river, a moderate lazy river, a modest outside pool with resting area before getting sucked down the rapids.
